Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for stronger international support in the aftermath of one of the largest Russian attacks on Ukraine to date. The attack, which involved over a hundred missiles and around a hundred "Shaheds" – Iranian-made drones – targeted critical civilian infrastructure across multiple regions of Ukraine, including Volyn, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Ternopil.

In a statement shared on social media, Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of his international partners fulfilling their commitments, particularly regarding air defense systems and missiles. He called for greater unity in efforts to shoot down Russian missiles and drones, highlighting the need for European neighbors to coordinate their aviation with Ukraine's F-16 fighter jets and air defense systems.

"The energy sector has sustained significant damage," Zelenskyy said, noting that restoration work is already underway in areas affected by power outages. He stressed the need for decisive action, stating that Ukraine cannot be limited in its long-range capabilities when Russia faces no such restrictions. He pointed out that while Russia continues to use its entire arsenal, including drones and ballistic missiles sourced from North Korea, Ukraine's defenders must not be constrained in their access to necessary weapons.

Zelenskyy warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin will continue to act as long as the world allows him to. He called on leaders in the U.S., U.K., France, and other allied nations to take the decisive steps needed to bring an end to the war.

"Putin can only act within the limits the world sets for him. Weakness and inadequate responses fuel terror," Zelenskyy said. "The time for decisive action is now."
